Thank you for visiting the website for my Republican U.S. Senate campaign.  We are off to an exciting start receiving great support from Nebraskans and Patriots across my state and across America.  I want to make it clear that I am running against current Senator Ben Sasse for the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate in Nebraska.  If you support me, you can donate to my campaign.

Local Issues

Agriculture

Supporting our farmers and ranchers is a top priority for any Nebraska representative.  I will proudly serve on the Senate Agriculture Committee, unlike my opponent who abandoned Nebraska’s farmers and quit the Agriculture Committee for what he thought was a more “glamorous” committee.  Nebraska farmers are telling me they believe Trump’s tough negotiation with China will pay off in the long-run and make more markets for Nebraska agriculture.

Legalization of Medical Marijuana

The FDA has not done a legitimate study on the medical benefits and risks of marijuana.  Considering the negative effect legalization has had on Seattle, Colorado and California, we cannot allow Nebraska to follow suit. I do believe that if someone is dying and in pain, you should be able to give them about anything to help them alleviate the pain.  I strongly oppose the legalization of marijuana for recreational use.

Term Limits

I don’t believe our Framers intended for us to have career politicians.  They intended for us to have representatives, but instead, we’ve created a ruling class. When we allow individuals to serve 30, 40, 50 and nearly 60 years in Congress or any office, the nation loses because they are only interested in keeping their power.  I supported the successful local term limits petition in Lincoln on the Mayor.  I support a measure that would limit Members of Congress to two six-year terms in the U.S. Senate and six two-year terms in the House of Representatives, allowing a person to serve 12 years in each office. A person would have to sit out for six years, and if they wanted to run again for the same seat, they could do so.

National Issues

Court Appointments

Nebraska Republicans tell me they want a U.S. Senator who will be proud to support a President who has appointed fantastic judges to the Supreme Court and our federal bench.  If our current senator had his way, Hillary Clinton would have made two appointments to the Supreme Court, including the replacement of the most conservative Justice on the Supreme Court, Justice Antonin Scalia.  I’m glad President Trump was there to represent conservatives by appointing Neil Gorsuch to replace Justice Scalia, and his later appointment of Brett Kavanaugh.

Red Flag Laws

I oppose red flag laws. I don’t believe we can put our 2nd Amendment rights in the hands of unelected judges. There is a slippery slope involved with this issue where once you start chipping away at a constitutional right, it becomes easier to take away more and more rights. I do not see how a red flag law would not restrict gun owners’ 2nd Amendment rights.

Support for President Trump

The battle in our courts is far from over.  We need to re-elect President Trump in 2020 so we have a President who will continue to make these important federal judge appointments in the coming years.  I’m proud to say I will vote for President Trump for re-election in 2020.  But our current Senator will not say who he supports for President.  I think Nebraska Republicans, and all Americans, deserve to know where their federal officials stand on important issues.  And one of the most important issues in 2020 is whether or not you will support re-electing our Republican President.  I will vote for President Trump.   My Republican opponent will not.

Gun Control and the 2nd Amendment

The right to bear arms that our Founding Fathers guaranteed in the Constitution was not to allow Americans the freedom to hunt as liberals claim; it was to ensure liberty from tyranny. I am a strong supporter of American’s right to bear arms.

Impeachment

At this point, impeachment is merely a ploy by the Democrats in Congress to try to undo the 2016 election of President Trump and has nothing to do with whether or not the President committed high crimes and misdemeanors as described in the Constitution.  There was no Russian collusion by the Trump campaign, and the phone call between President Trump and the Ukrainian President had nothing impeachable in it.  It is a ruse used by the Democrats to confuse and mislead the American public.  My opponent – before Trump released the transcript of the Ukrainian phone call – said there was “terrible stuff” in the call and that Republicans should not circle the wagons around Trump.  I think Republicans in Congress must defend the President against the false accusations being made against him.

Pro-Life

I am 100% pro-life.

Infrastructure/Roads

The two things government is required to do for us is to protect us militarily and build public infrastructure.  Right now, the Democrats in Congress are holding up much-needed infrastructure legislation that would go a long way toward repairing and improving our aging roads and bridges.

International Issues

National Defense

The best way to keep America out of unnecessary wars is to have an extremely powerful and capable military that nobody – including Russia, China, North Korea and Iran – want to challenge.  President Reagan kept us at peace because he built up our military.

Green New Deal

The Green New Deal has now been exposed as the liberals’ way of crippling the U.S. economy by forcing unreasonable environmental regulations on America’s citizens and businesses that would cause massive unemployment and put the United States in an inferior competitive position with other countries around the world.  It would decimate agriculture, which is Nebraska’s top industry.

Immigration and a Border Wall

First things first, Immigration is choking our economy. Building a wall on our southern border allows us to control who enters our country. It gives us more control over drug trafficking as well as human and sex trafficking.

Legal immigration is good, but there should be a level of difficulty to gaining citizenship. Blanket amnesty for the illegal immigrants who are already here, is not an option.  We need to stop the influx of illegal immigrants first.  After securing our borders, illegal immigrants who are here should not receive automatic citizenship or federal government benefits.  When we have military veterans who are receiving sub-par health care, why should people who are here illegally receive better health care and more benefits than our veterans?

China

We have to win this war against China and so far, we are, thanks to President Trump. The President diverted $16 billion from the Chinese Tariffs to American Farmers to get them through this rough period. In turn, farmers are patient with President Trump on Chinese tariffs because they see the big picture of what he is trying to do. While some Senators have forgotten our farmers, President Trump hasn’t. China’s economy is at a 27-year low and their economic survival hinges on a trade deal with the U.S.  That puts us squarely in the “driver’s seat.” Democrats, Never-Trumpers and the mainstream media are playing politics with a trade deal waiting for the next election.  We can’t afford to give them more time for temporary personal and political gain.

Iran/Middle East

The President has correctly pulled the U.S. out of the Obama-Iran deal, which was not a formal treaty to begin with.  It was a mistake for Obama to return $150 billion in cash to Iran – who wants to exterminate our ally Israel – with an agreement that included little outside oversight and let Iran enrich uranium to build a nuclear program. President Trump’s new economic sanctions on Iran are crippling their economy and is a much more effective tool than what previous presidents have done.

Energy Independence

President’s Trump’s policies have given us a large enough oil supply to ensure that we don’t have to rely on any dictator or king to provide fuel for our nation.  The recent terrorist attack by Iran on a Saudi Arabian oil facility wiped out half of the Saudi’s oil capacity, but hardly phased American gasoline prices.  If that had happened 10 years ago, it would have severely affected American fuel prices. We need to aggressively continue our drive to become completely energy independent.

THANK YOU!

I hope you will go to my Contribute Page and support my campaign.  My opponent will be supported by the Washington, DC-type political action committees.  I will need your support to compete with the big DC dollars my opponent will have.  I will represent Nebraska and America.  Please support Nebraska by supporting my campaign.

I urge you to continue going through our website and seeing your fellow Nebraskans and Americans who are volunteering to be a part of my campaign.
